Tabs in Banner Self Service are driven dynamically from your status in Banner. Technical staff are not able to make changes to those statuses. If a step has not been completed by an operational unit, your role in Banner may not be complete.
Employee tab: the employee records need to be looked at by HR or their Personnel Administrator
Student tab: Office of the University Registrar or Admissions
Faculty/Advisor tab: Office of the University Registrar or their departmental course scheduler
Financial Aid tab: Student Financial Services
Applicants tab: Admissions
Finance tab: approved by Finance
All Users
Upon login to eServices with their eID and password, users view a screen such as the following. Depending on their role at VCU, the different sections may vary.
Students
Students register for classes, view their student records and transcripts, view their student account information, and use the DegreeWorks tool by clicking on the "Student" tab (see below)
Employees
The "Employee" tab allows employees to view their benefits and deductions, pay information, electronic forms, leave balances, etc.
