Symptoms

When the user opens a quiz from Canvas via the Respondus lockdown browser extension, the following error page appears: "Invalid profile—https://virginiacommonwealth.instructrue.com ----- There is a problem with the URL for this exam. See this article for more information."

If the user clicks "Continue" it fully closes the Canvas page.

Environment

Canvas

Respondus LockDown Browser

Solution

The user can try to do the following:

1. Clear cache and cookies. If using Google Chrome choose option "All Time" next to the time range.

2. Use another computer with the user's credentials.

If it still shows the same error page call VCU ITSC at 804-828-2227 to submit a ticket.
