Accessing the Name Of Use fields in the ODS

SAS Enterprise Guide

1. The VCU_NAME_OF_USE view is available for reporting in the SAS ODS Common library via SAS Enterprise Guide.
   • The following fields are included in the VCU_NAME_OF_USE view: PERSON_UID, ID, FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME, NAME_FL, NAME_LF, GENDER_IDENTITY, GENDER_IDENTITY_DESC, PRONOUNS, and PRONOUNS_DESC.
   • The legal first name is used when the NOU is NULL.
2. The PDBBIO table has been updated to include the NOU fields.
   • The NAME field includes the Legal Last Name and NOU. The Middle Initial has been removed from the NAME field.
   • The VCU_FIRST_NAME is the NOU.
   • The VCU_MIDDLE_NAME is NULL.
   • The legal first name is used when the NOU is NULL.
3. The Registration_Bio table has been updated to include the NOU fields.
   • The following fields have been added to the Registration_Bio table: NOU_FIRST_NAME, NOU_LAST_NAME, NOU_NAME_FL, NOU_NAME_LF, GENDER_IDENTITY, GENDER_IDENTITY_DESC, PRONOUNS, and PRONOUNS_DESC.
   • The legal first name is used when the NOU is NULL.
4. The Person_Detail view includes the NOU fields.
