Symptoms

When trying to register for courses in eServices, you get the error, "Time tickets prevent registration at this time".

Image

Environment

  • eServices
  • Self-Service Banner

Solution

The error corresponds with trying to register sooner than your credit hours/status allows. Please reference this link for registration dates: https://registrar.vcu.edu/registration/registration-guide/registration-dates/

If you believe that you are in a different group for registration, please email rar@vcu.edu for further assistance.

Cause

If you try to register for classes outside your credit hour/status (such as Honors) slot, you will encounter the above error. You must register according to your status/credit hour slot: https://registrar.vcu.edu/registration/registration-guide/registration-dates/

Outcome

When you register on the date that corresponds with your credit hours, you will be able to successfully enroll in classes on eServices.

Workaround

There is no workaround. You must wait for your designated registration slot day.
