Environment

  • Generic account (Google Workspace)
  • DUO 2Factor

Solution

If you are the owner of a generic account and know the password, you can enroll your device in DUO through eid.vcu.edu.

  1. Log into https://eid.vcu.edu with your generic account,
    1. Use an incognito/private browsing window, so the system doesn't confuse your logins
  2. Click the My Profile tab and then Manage Security
  3. Click the Add New Device button and enroll your device

If you are not the generic account owner but use the account for your work and need to be added to DUO, reach out to the owner and have them follow the steps above to add your device.
