Symptoms
When trying to log into a VCU owned computer, you are unable to login with your eID and password.
Environment
- Windows
- Windows login
Solution
- Make sure you are using only your eID (not your email address) and your eID password
- If on campus:
- Make sure the computer is connected to the internet and the domain is set to the RAMS domain at the bottom of the login screen
- If it is not connected to the internet, submit an IT Support Ticket or call the IT Support Center.
- You can try to force the domain by entering RAMS\ before your eID (ex: RAMS\rodneyram)
- This will not work if there is no internet
- Try restarting the computer
- Make sure the computer is connected to the internet and the domain is set to the RAMS domain at the bottom of the login screen
- If off campus:
- If you have not logged onto this computer previously, then you must come to campus and connect to SafeNet or a wired ethernet connection to update your login credentials
