Environment
Windows or Mac OS, Korbyt
Solution
1. Login to Korbyt using https://go.vcu.edu/korbyt and your VCU eID and password.
2. Click the menu in the top left corner of the screen. See image below:
3. Choose Content > Media Manager:
3. Click on the content folder associated with your department or building.
EXAMPLE: If you work for the School of Medicine, you should find a folder named “School of Medicine”. If your Korbyt display is not department specific, you would find a folder based on the building the display is in. If the display is in the Student Commons building, you would find a folder named “Student Commons”.
In this example we are using a test folder. You would use the one associated with your department or building.
NOTE: If you cannot find the folder for your department or building please reach out to your Korbyt system administrator kingmn2@vcu.edu.
4. For our example we will select the “test” folder and then click the Import Media button:
5. Click Browse to search your computer for the slides you want to upload to Korbyt.
NOTE: Slides generally need to be formatted as 1920x1080 Landscape/Horizontal and they need to be .jpg files.
6. Once your slide(s) have finished uploading, click Done.
7. The slide we imported should now show up in our “test” folder on Korbyt. For your own practice, instead of using the test folder, you would select the folder assigned to your department or building and import your slides into that folder.
NOTE: Importing slides into a Media Manager folder does not cause them to play on any TV monitors. It only stores your content in folders on the Korbyt system. This is similar to how you would store files in folders on Microsoft Windows.
