How to log into a VCU Generic Account

Log into your generic account using the eID and password. These are the same steps used to log into any VCU Google Workspace account.

1. Clear the browser's user session of your eID credentials
   1. Option 1 (Recommended):  Open an incognito window: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464
   2. Option 2:  Sign out of your Google Workspace account and sign into the generic account.
      1. Click on your account profile in the upper right-hand corner of the browser
      2. Click Sign out
         
2. Log in using one of the following options:
   1. VCU Homepage
      1. Visit vcu.edu
      2. Click Full Menu at the top of the page
         
         
      3. Select Email
      4. Click Student/faculty/staff email
         
      5. Enter your generic account eID and password
   2. Collaboration Services Homepage
      1. Go to collaborate.vcu.edu
      2. Click Student/Faculty/Staff email in the upper right-hand corner
      3. Enter your generic account eID and password
   3. Gmail
      1. Go to gmail.com
      2. Enter the full generic account email address (i.e. eID@vcu.edu) and click Next
         
      3. Enter your generic account eID and password
