How to retrieve SAS depot hotfixes

Summary

These instructions are for users about to install SAS on their system after downloading it from the VCU website.

Environment

Windows

Linux

Solution

 

 NOTE: Zscaler may need to be temporarily disabled as its proxy functions interfere with the connection to SAS servers

 

  1. Open the depot folder
  2. Click setup.exe (./setup.sh for Linux)
    1. Select your preferred language
  3. Select Manage this SAS Software Depot
  4. Select Retrieve Hot Fixes
    1. If you are using a VCU computer, you may be prompted to enter Proxy information:
      1. you may need to disable Zscaler temporarily and restart this process, OR
      2. you will need to enter the Broker IP address listed in the Zscaler app in the HTTP Server field and authenticate with your eID and password.
  5. Click Finish
